Songwriters Hall of Fame: Paul Simon
Hall of Fame Induction: 1982.
Paul Simon has four #1 singles to his
songwriting credits and five albums listed in Rolling Stone magazine’s
500 Greatest Albums of All Time. He was inducted into the Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Simon and Garfunkel in 1990 and as a
solo artist in 2001. He has won 12 Grammys as well as an Emmy for a
televised concert special.
Little known fact: Simon recorded
several unreleased demos with Carole King in the 1960’s as a duo
called The Cosines.
